Types of delusions
- Persecutory type: the belief that one is being persecuted or conspired against
- Somatic type: the belief that one’s body is defective or infested or malformed
- Jealous type: the belief that one’s lover is unfaithful
- Grandiose type: the belief that one is superior to others
- Erotomanic type: the belief that one has aroused the love of someone important
- Mixed type: a combination of the above
- Unspecified type: vague beliefs that do not permit classification
