Diagnostic criteria

  • Acquired, chronic progressive or relapsing polyneuropathy
  • It is symmetrical or asymmetrical
  • There is progression over >2 months
  • There is electrophysiological evidence of axonal neuropathy in at least two nerves
  • There are no clear features of demyelination
  • There is responsiveness to immunotherapy

Triggers: 4-8 weeks before onset
