  • Methotrexate is a folate antagonist: it is not usually neurotoxic
  • 5-Fluorouracil is a pyrimidine antagonist: peripheral neuropathy occurs rarely
  • Cytosine arabinoside (Ara-C) is a pyrimidine antagonist: it is not usually neurotoxic
  • Gemcitabine is a deoxycytidine analogue: it causes sensory neuropathy in 10% of cases
  • Cepecitabine causes palmar plantar erythrodysesthesia (hand-foot syndrome)
